UpSpring.in - Listeners to Leaders Platform

As the Government strives to do its job, it requires data using which it can make more effective and informed decisions. With the growing trend in penetration of technology, it is not only easy but is necessary to have an information democracy in a way that we are going to discuss here. The initiatives that the Government takes up/prioritize are based on some estimated weightage of the needs of the people.

Presently there is no concrete measure of how many people like or dislike an initiative. Moreover, presently the ideas for fulfilling an initiative falls from top-down. In reality these are needs of the people and they have to be met in a manner consistent with their aspirations.

UpSpring.in will accept a cause/story submitted by any citizen who has registered in the site. Other users of the site can login anytime and see the causes listed and can like/dislike* the cause. If they like the cause then they are supporting the cause. They can also become an activist by proposing action ideas for the cause or by simply liking atleast one already liked cause.

Leaders and authorities can login to the system anytime and see what the popular causes are and what popular ideas are. This makes it like a reverse newspaper - Listeners to Leaders.
